IndyCar champ Dario Franchitti immortalized…

“Retired IndyCar and Indianapolis 500 champion Dario Franchitti’s already got a pretty big bundle of accolades – four series titles, three ‘500’ wins, 31 career victories, and an MBE.

Now, the Scotsman can add “title/subject of a hip-hop song” to that.

Over the weekend, Virginia rappers J.B. Lynch and Preme D posted a video on YouTube for “Dario Franchitti,” which comes off of Lynch’s mixtape Thick As Thieves: No Honor Amongst Us.

And as you’d figure, the visual is heavy on racing/car images such as shots in and around the Langley (Va.) Speedway in Hampton, Virginia, a regular stop for several NASCAR minor-league series.

Yeah, there’s no real nod to the open-wheel set. But hey, Franchitti was a NASCAR racer once upon a time, too.

You can check out the clip above, but we have to warn you that there’s some foul language in the track that’s NSFW.” –  Chris Estrada (MotorSportsTalk / NBC Sports)
